Welcome to Eager Beaver! This is the online home of Keith Hunter, the comedy persona and creation of Jonny Lang. This is the beginning of our journey into creating great comedy and you are invited along for the ride, in the back, of course, Keith insists on being in the front.

 

On this site, you can see some of our initial work and we will be adding to it as we

create new comedy sketches, films and radio content. Jonny writes, produces and directs all the comedy, but is assisted by some of the best creative people and technical crew working today - so a big thanks to everyone who has brought their skills to our comedy so far - Mark Kerray, Paul Cooper, Mark Moreve, Miloc Momcilovic, David Jenkinson and Jean Marie Coffey.

The moment finally arrived on Saturday evening, February 9th on BBC1. The long awaited debut of Keith on Anne Robinson’s Outtake TV programme. The final show of the series was a round up of all the ‘must see’ content for the year and this included ‘Frigotron’, the Keith Hunter spoof of Dragons’ Den which netted first prize in 2007 for the BBC Comedy Soup new talent initiative. According to show producer, Kieron Collins, Anne needed no persuasion to big up Jonny at the end of the clip when she said that ‘if we don’t see a lot more of him, it would be a huge loss to television’. High praise indeed from the so called ‘Queen of Mean’, we can’t help but feel that a similar compliment from Lorraine Kelly wouldn’t have quite the same resonance.
